Love Explora Museum in Albuquerque!

We took a quick 3 day trip to Albuquerque this weekend, and had a BLAST! They have several amazing museums, and our ultimate favorite was the Explora Kids Museum. It was amazing, and there was hardly anyone there. Totally hands on science fun, with no lines! The boys could walk right up to anything they wanted and dig right in. Wished we could have stayed for longer.

Michelle Kaufmann Modern Modular Homes

If you have not seen what Michelle Kaufmann is up to then you are in for a real treat. Basically she has put the cool (and the green) back into modular homes. All homes are fabricated in a warehouse using the latest green certified techniques and then trucked to a suitable build location. If you are into modern then you should love the designs. They are small (compared to today's mega-mansions) but cozy and when you compare savings over time they seem to be a good economical choice. Here is some info from her site http://www.mkd-arc.com Enjoy!

Michelle Kaufmann Designs is a full service architectural design firm that specializes in sustainable, innovative, high quality design.

We believe that sustainable, well-designed buildings should be accessible to more people. To achieve this we have simplified our process and chosen off-site modular technology as our only means to create beautiful, eco-friendly homes. Our hope is that, through our practice, we will make it easy for people to build green and live a more sustainable life. We are making a difference one home at a time one family at a time.

Pokkadots rated best gift site by TIME Magazine and In Style

I've always loved Pokkadots.com and just noticed they were on Time Magazine's Best Gift Sites to Shop for Cyber Deals... LOVE IT!

They were also listed Number 1 for Instyle Magazine's Best Gift Sites for 2008. No doubt! Cute cute clothes, retro toys, and Modern Furniture (of course, a huge fan!). Not to mention 10% off and free shipping on all orders over $75. Not bad!

Jess Brown Dolls

The most fabulously decadent handmade rag dolls EVER! Jess Brown creates each doll in her studio in Northern California, beginning with hand dying each doll in black tea for three days, creating a unique skin tone for each doll. They each have the sweetest button shoulders, gorgeous recycled vintage fabrics, and tiny little eyes and mouths. I want a whole family of them!! I love that they come in boy and girl versions. Yummy!! Jess Brown Dolls are definitely one of my top gifts to give this year.

Eco-Friendly Modern Kids Spotlight

I thought this was pretty cool. I know Oeuf because my friend has their whole set....but I didn't know they were Eco-Friendly also. I lifted this off their site, check it out: The Oeuf Crib/Nursery Set provides the perfect combination of style, craftsmanship and affordability as well as responsible recycling and eco manufacturing practices. Oeuf is committed to the recycling of finish material through licensed collecting facilities after all components have been utilized to their fullest. They recycle 100% of wood wastes into briquettes, which are used to fuel the Oeuf manufacturing warehouse. All Oeuf packaging uses the recycling program through Green Points. Oeuf is also a Forest Stewardship Certificate holder and they use only low emission MDF. This falls in line with ModernNursery's philosophy and partnership with CarbonFund.org in continuing our efforts to provide a carbon neutral footprint.
